Hamilton: The Name God Gives You

Hamilton-publicWatch!

LiveStream | Give | Sermons | FAQ | Spiritual Practices

Day 1: Read Isaiah 43:1. Read through the Bible and you quickly discover God knows your name and God wants to be in relationship with you. God wants you to be part of His family. In Isaiah 43:1 God calls us by name, the very thing we desire but perhaps also fear. For we know the failures and sins of our lives, but God tells us not to fear. He has redeemed us. He has paid the price that we might have in life. What phrase sticks out for you to remember today? Why?

Day 2: Read John 10:16. In Jesus day, there were Jews then everybody else called Gentiles. In John 10 Jesus speaks not only to Jews, but to everybody. God’s desire for all people to be saved. That’s why Jesus came, died and rose again. That’s why God wants you and others to be part of His family. Who can you pray for today to come to know Jesus?

Day 3: Read Isaiah 43:4. You might circle those 4 words “because I love you”. Those are God’s Word for you, no matter who you are or what you have done, God loves you and you are precious in His sight. How do you see yourself? How does that match up with how God sees you?

Day 4: Read John 10:11. In this verse Jesus describes how He shows His love for you. We also learn Jesus knew exactly the price He would have to pay and that you are worth it. What would it mean for your life yesterday and then today to see the people you come across with the kind of love Jesus has for you?

Day 5: Read Isaiah 43:2. You might underline those 5 words – “I will be with you”. Life might get really ugly, but God’s not leaving. He loves you. He is with you. He redeems your pain and fulfills His purpose. Where do you need to remind yourself that God is with you?

Day 6: Read John 10:14-15. Read these verses a couple times, how do you see Jesus knowing you happening? How are you doing with knowing Jesus?

The One Who Comes To Save You

Cinderella

LiveStream | Give | Sermons | FAQ | Spiritual Practices

The Sermon for this week and this week's GPS is based on the movie(s) Cinderella.

Day 1: Read Deuteronomy 31:8. These great words Moses shares are as a reminder that you are not alone. God goes before you in life. He is with you. Where have you sensed some distance from God in life? Discouragement? Loneliness? Where do you need to remember today God is with you and you are not alone?

Day 2: Read Luke 5:30-32. Where do you need to repent and to receive Jesus’ healing forgiveness today?

Day 3: Read Luke 17:6. The power of faith is not in its size, but in its object. It’s not how much faith I can muster, but that it’s focused on Jesus. What area of life might you, like the disciples, cry out “Increase our faith!”? Why?

Day 4: Read Ephesians 2:8-9. By grace – that’s a Biblical word for gift. The gift is faith in Jesus, it’s God’s great work. What does it mean to you that faith is a gift from God (not by works)? Take time today to thank God for His incredible gift!

Day 5: Read Galatians 5:22-23. The fruit of the Spirit (all 9 qualities make up the 1 fruit of the Spirit) does not save your life but reflects the One who saved your life. How have you seen God cultivating such fruit in your life this week?

Day 6: Read Deuteronomy 31:6. Where do you need to remind yourself to be strong and courageous in living out your faith?

Day 1: Read 1 John 3:4-5. John doesn’t deny the sins of our past, but he does always point us to Jesus, the one who takes away our sin. What sins do you  need to confess to God today and hear His word of forgiveness?

Day 2: Read John 8:25. The question asked of Jesus is good to ask yourself, “Who are you?” How would you describe who you are to someone else? To God? To yourself?

Day 3: Read John 8:29. When do you long to sense God’s presence? What is your best way to spend time with Him? Thank God for being with You today!

Day 4: Read Hebrews 12:1-2. When you think of the great cloud of witnesses cheering you on in heaven, who in that cloud is cheering for you? What do you think they are saying? What do you sense God saying to cheer you on today?

Day 5: Read 1 John 3:1-2. We may not know the future, but we know the One who holds the future in His hands. What part of your uncertain future do you need to turn over to God in prayer?

Day 6: Read 1 John 3:2-3. When Jesus forgives the filth of our sins, He makes us clean. He makes us pure. Think of a time when you felt filthy, what did it feel like to take a shower and be clean again? On the outside? In your inner heart?

Day 1: Read Genesis 3:6-7. What does Satan use as “bait” to trip you up in your walk with God? What sins do you need to confess to God and hear His words of forgiveness?

Day 2: Read Colossians 1:21. How would your life be different if you have life with God or life without God?

Day 3: Read Colossians 1:20. To reconcile, to pay our sin debts in full, past, present and future. Jesus dies for us that we might have life. Jesus dies that you might live. Take time to thank Jesus for such a tremendous gift of love in your life.

Day 4: Read Colossians 1:22. Satan’s name means Accuser. Jesus sets us free from accusations. Where have you sense Satan accusing you in life, filling you with guilt and shame? Give those accusations to Jesus. Ask Him to set your heart free!

Day 5: Read Colossians 1:18. Jesus has supremacy. He’s the one in charge. He turns messes into masterpieces. As you look at your life in the past year, where has Jesus turned a mess into a masterpiece? What mess do you need Him to do His masterpiece work in your life today?

Day 6: Read 1 Peter 2:9. “Chosen. Royal. Holy. God’s special possession.” That’s not Satan’s destiny for you. That may not be the destiny you would describe your life. But that is God’s plan. Those are God’s Words. Pray to see clearly how God can use you today to declare His praises to others.
